EMPICOL LZV -MILL BUILDING <br />Empicol LZV is used in the mill process as a frothing agent. It is received <br />• from the vendor in 200 Ib. drums and stored and used in the mill building <br />(Figure 2). Because it is stored inside the mill building, any spills would be <br />contained within the mill building or in the tailing ponds. <br />NON-IONIC SURFACTANT (9N9) -MILL BUILDING <br />9N9 is a non-ionic surfactant used in the lead-leach process to F~revent <br />formation of molybdenum/oil agglomerates. <br />9N9 is delivered to the mill by tanker trucks with a capacity of 5,200 <br />gallons, and is transferred to a bulk storage tank having a capacity of 9,400 <br />gallons. The 9N9 is pumped to a gravity feed tank having a capacity of 500 <br />gallons. The entire handling system is contained within the mill building and <br />is therefore fully contained by the mill drainage system and tailing pond. Any <br />spillage can be washed with water into the nearest floor drain. <br />WITCONATE - Mlu BUILDING <br />Witconate (sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate) is used in the mill process: as a <br />frothing agent blended with Empicol LZV at a 4:1 ratio {Empicol LZV to <br />Witconate). It is received from the vendor in 200 pound drums. Witcon:ate is <br />stored and used in the mill building iFigure 2). Because it is stored in tht; mill <br />building, any spills would be contained within the mill building prop~;r or <br />would migrate to the tailing ponds. <br />MOLYBDENUM DISULFIDE -PRODUCT STORED AT MILL BUILDING <br />Molybdenum disulfide (MoSz) product is stored in various locations around <br />the mill building during times when transportation difficulties arise due to the <br />lack of railroad cars for shipping. The MoSz product is stored in groups of <br />bagged containers on pallets which are covered with tarps to protect the <br />product from the elements. Because this material represents the linal <br />product of the processing and milling operations, extra care is taken to <br />ensure that punctures or rips in the bagged product do not occur. In the <br />unlikely event that a bag is torn or ripped, the product spill can be retrieved <br />with a hand shovel or skid loader and recycled through the mill. <br /> <br />Page 11 <br />
