West Elk Mine 2003 Annual Hydrology Report 15 <br />3.2.2.5 SorinQG_Ia <br />Spring G-la is in Sylvester Gulch on the west side of the drainage north of the Box Canyon Panel <br />area. It issues from alluvium and is seasonal with moisture present only during snow melt or peak <br />flow. <br />3.2.2.6 Spring G10 <br />Spring G-20 is in middle Sylvester Gulch on the east side of the drainage. It is north of the Box <br />Canyon Panels and east of the mine facilities. It issues from alluvium or landslide material and <br />disperses water through a grassy area. <br />3.2.3 Springs above the B seam in the Jumbo Mountain Area in the <br />North Fork Drainage Basin <br />3.2.3.1 Spring_CR-12 <br />Spring CR-12 is in Lone Pine Gulch north of the AIW mine panels. It issues from alluvium on the <br />south side of the gulch. This spring is perennial, but volume of flow diminishes in summer and <br />autumn. <br />3.2.3.2 Spring G-26a <br />Spring G-26a is in Lone Pine Gulch north of the NW mine panels. This spring issues from <br />alluvium and flows into a small pond. This spring is seasonal and flow only occurs during peak <br />flow conditions. <br />3.2.3.3 Spring G-28a <br />Spring G-28a is in a north tributary to Gribble Gulch. It is above the western-most panels in the <br />NW mine panels. This sprirtg issues from alluvium and is seasonal. Flow usually occurs during <br />peak flow and accumulates in a stock pond. <br />3.2.3.4 Spring G-31 <br />Spring G-31 is in Gribble Gulch and is above the east end of the Jumbo Mountain mine panels. <br />This spring issues from alluvium and flows into a small pond. It is seasonal and flow usually <br />occurs during wet spring conditions. The pond is often dry in summer and autumn. <br />3.2.3.5 Wiring G-30 <br />• Spring G-30 is in Gribble Gulch above the east end of the Jumbo Mountain mine panels.
