measurable flow in May and August. Water quality parameters taken in May were
consistent with previous sampling at this site. Spring 30 was encor~assed by
the angle-of-draw of Panel Y during May of 1993. Spring 10-10 also had
measurable flow in May and August. Water quality parameters taken in May were
consistent with last years sampling. Spring 10-10 was enoargaassed by the angle-
of-draw of Panel Y during Sept®nber, 1993 and retreat mining was performed under
it in 1994. Subsidence impacts were not apparent at either of these locations
during 1995.
West Roatcao Creek
Three springs were monitored in the West Roatcap Creek drainage (refer to Table
5 aryl Map No. 4-1) during 1995. The springs were not accessible during the
first quarter rronitoring because of the lingering snowpack. Sprinq 31 was
monitored on a rronthly basis after the first quarter and exhibited consistent
flows throughout the year with the flow tapering off in the fall. Water quality
parameters were consistent with ranges previously established for this site.
No m; n;nq occurred within the watershed for this spring during 1995 and no
mininq i~cts were evident. Spring 32 was monitored rronthly when it was
• accessible. Spring 32 exhibited consistent flow throughout the year with the
flow tapering off in the fall and winter. Water quality parameters were
consistent with last years sampling Spring 10-13 was rronitored quarterly with
quality taken in June. Flows and field parameters observed at this site were
consistent with previous baseline values No mining occurred during 1995 in the
Spring 10-13 watershed.
Stevens (~rlch
Three springs were rronitored within the Stevens C~rlch drainage (refer to Table
5 and Map No. 4-1) in 1994. Spring 25 lies belay an area of the East mine
inactive since 1982. This site had measurable flow in May, August and December
with field parameters collected consistent with prior measurements. Spring 25
has been identified as an adjudicated water right within the permit area.
Twv springs in the Stevens (~rlch drainage, Spring & Pond 13-5, Spring & Pond 13-
6, were monitored Quarterly in 1995. Spring 6 Pond 13-5 was undermined during
• the last half of 1991. The spring at this location only had a measurable flow
in May. The water quality analyses collected shaved parameters generally
consistent with previously established values.
6
