• water levels and field parameters i.f they were discharging. Water quality
sanQles were collected in the spring. The ponds were not accessible during the
first quarter monitoring because of the lingering snowpack. The crater quality
samples were collected between May 13th aryl June 1st. No evidence of mine
impacts was noted. No retreat mining was conducted in the vicinity of any ponds
during 1995 in the East Roatcap Creek drainage. During 1994 retreat mining was
performed under Ponds 10-1, 10-2, 10-3, 10-4 and 10-11. Advance mining occurred
near ponds 10-7 and 10-9 during 1995. The East Roatcap GYeek ponds were
physically intact throughout 1995 and showed no subsidence effects.
West Roatcap Creek
Two ponds located in the West Roatcap Creek drainage (refer to Table 5 and Map
No. 4-1) were monitored during 1995. The ponds were cronitored quarterly for
water levels and field parameters if they were discharging. The ponds were not
aooe, sible during the first quarter rronitoring because of the lingering
snowpack. A water quality sale was collected from both of the West Roatcap
Creek ponds in May and tkue results were consistent with baseline infor3nation
collected in the past except flow rates were elevated. No evidence of mine
impacts were noted. The West Roatcap Creek ponds were physically intact
throughout 1995 and shared no subsidence effects. No retreat mining was
conducted in the vicinity of any ponds during 1995 in the West Foatcap Creek
drainage.
Stevens Gulch
Two ponds were monitored within the Stevens Gulch drainage (refer to Table 5 and
Map No. 4-1). Porrls 85 and 13-7 were rronitored quarterly for water level and
field parameters. Pond 13-7 did not discharge so no water quality samples were
taken. A water quality sample for Pond 85 was obtained in May. Pond 85 was
»~*+~~*+~ by Panel B in 1992. Pond 13-7 was also undermined during 1992. No
subsidence impacts or other irregularities were evident at either of these
locations during 1995.
SUf~'AC~ WATER M7NI7~tING STATIQ~IS -SPRINGS
East Foatcap Creek
• Two springs wets rmnitored in the East Roatcap Creels drainage (refer to Table
5 and Map No. 4-1) during 1995.
