The energy delivered to the sampler was recorded while it was <br />' being delivered. <br />An integrated electronic energy calibration system for the SPT equipment was Used for this soil <br />' sampling program, similar to that described by Robertson and Woeller, 1988. Each blow of the <br />hammer produces a wave trace which was recorded electronically. An example wave trace is shown <br />in Figure 1. The wave traces are then used to calculate the energy delivered to the sampler for each <br />' blow. The energies from the blows for the sample interval are then averaged and the averages are <br />used to calculate an equivalent blow count for 60% of the theoretical energy. The 60% theoretical <br />energy blow count (N-60) can then be used for design purposes. <br />3.0 CONE PENETRATION TEST DATA AND INTERPRETATION <br />' 3.1 CPT Data <br />The cone penetration test data are presented in graphical form in Appendix A following the text of <br />I' this report. Table 1 summarizes the testing done at the San Luis l~fine site.
