Mined Land Reclamation
July 1, 1977
Page 2.
7o~so11
Topsotl and overburden, which has been removed to date, is presently
st:ckpiled as depicted on the map and will be used in the restoration
program.
Later this coming fall, we will start to grade and restore the surface
area of the initial removal area. The seed mixture to be incorporated
will be in accordance with previously determined recommendation of
T.H.K. and Associates and Dave Boyle, County Extension Agent. We have
previously used this mixture during our test plantings, and the result
was very successful. (See letters enclosed.)
Our plan still remains to progress to a sequential restoration on the
property in accordance with the plan depicted on the topographical map
submitted with the application.
Final Benches
The final benches and the restoration thereof, are, of course, some
years away yet.
Fugitive Dust
We are presently using sufficient water, along with spray equipment, in
efforts to comply with dust emission standards. The dust from drilling
and blasting has been of no problem to date, inasmuch as we have not
drilled or blasted any material.
Access Roads
The access road east to Highway No. 93 has been constructed to adequately
handle entering and exiting traffic. The backs lopes have been seeded
and the establishment appears to be successful. The road top surface has
been oiled to prevent dust. We have not found it necessary, at this
point, to construct the second access road from the south end of the
Ramstetter property to West 58th.
Operating Hours
Our crushing operations have been conducted six (6) days per week,
Sundays excluded, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
