t4ined Land Reclamation
July 1, 1977
Page 3.
Blasting
We have, to this date, been able to work our 40 foot benches without the
use of drilling or blasting. Modern ripping techniques have sufficed.
Should future removal require blasting, we stand ready to operate within
the guidelines outlined.
East Berm
Initial overburden, principally clays and sands, .have been removed to
the east portion of the property and used for berm construction for view
screening. This berm is presently in place, and evidence of natural
vegetation has begun to establish itself. This berm, along with another
constructed to the south, not only serves aesthetic functions, but pre-
vents potential surface water from draining in an uncontrolled manner.
We shall in the future, as we have in the past, continue to update our
performance concerning land stabilization and reclamation.
We feel the approved reclamation plan is progressing satisfactorily and
according to the timetable approved 1n the original app1lcation.
Respectfully submitted,
ASPHALT PAVING CO.
~.~ f~ ~.~
obert EL Lemke fx
Vice President
REL/ljb
Encl.
