i'
' NCEC - 1989 HYDROLOGY REPORT
the fall sampling, sufficient water could not be extracted from OW-
14 for a lab or field parameter analysis despite there being a few
' feet of water in the well. This condition may have been due to a
very muddy slurry that would not permit the bailer ball to seat
' properly. During the winter sampling, despite less water in the
well, a sample was bailed from the well and was sufficient for
establishing field parameters.
i
' 2.3 Future Plans
' The present quarterly/annual monitoring schedule will continue
until activity resumes at the NCEC facility. As stated in previous
hydrologic reports, several plans will be implemented in order to
improve the quality and reliability of the collected data. The
destruction of OW-9L will be discussed in the NCEC Permit Revision
' and proposed responses will be provided. If the OW-4L well
location proves to be important for monitoring downgradient
' groundwater impacts, the well will be replaced. If the location is
not relevant to the present and future facility layout, the hole
' may not be replaced. However, if necessary for maintaining an
adequate monitoring system, additional monitoring sites may be
' selected.
{J

' Adrian Brovra Consultants -4- ReP:1145/900131MG.HYD
