Squire: <br />As requested to your May 15th letter the following is Western Slope Carbon's <br />explanation of the oil and grease sample that exceeded permit limits in the <br />1st quarter 1985 Discharge Monitoring Report and the corrective measures taken <br />to prevent reoccurrence. <br />The sample type is a visual observation once every seven days with a sample <br />taken for laboratory analysis 1f a visible sheen exists. During the quarter <br />no visible sheen was observed; however, samples were taken at the beginning <br />and end of actual discharge periods.
