tailing impoundment during the month, and seepage along Rito Seco Creek remained dry
throughout the month.
Calendar year 2002 reclamation activities were initiated on August 29`h. Earthmoving
equipment has been leased from Wagner Equipment Supply with the equipment being
operated by on-site personnel during hours the water treatment facility is not operating.
Leased equipment will include a Caterpillar D-8R, Caterpillar 936 loader and two (2)
Caterpillar 30-yard haul trucks. Scheduled reclamation activity includes the east flank of
the South Waste Rock Facility, the main haul road between Rito Seco road and the
parking ditch, the parking ditch and the access roadway north of the South Waste Rock
Facility leading to the air monitoring tower. Reclamation activities shall include
recontouring, surface compaction ripping, topsoiling and revegetation. It is expected the
reclamation activity will require approximately a month to six weeks.
