<br />The following answer some of the questions which were raised during the Bid Walk on June 30, <br />1995. <br />Q. Can the rock wall be substituted with a cast in place concrete wall. <br />A. No the rock wall can not be substituted <br />Q. For bid purposes can we standazdize the number of rock bolts to be used. <br />A. For the purpose of bidding assume that 50 - 3 foot standazd mechanical rock bolts will <br />be used. No epoxy will be required. In addition please quote a price to install each <br />additional bolt after the fast 50. <br />Q. Can split set rock bolts be used instead of mechanical rock bolts. <br />A. Split Setm friction rock stabilizers may be used in place of mechanical rock bolts. <br />Q. The spec for the cast in place wall calls for a ten foot thickness, is this correct. <br />A. This is not correct. See the attached addendum for the correct thickness. <br />Q. Will the steel bulkheads need to be removed before the adits aze sealed. <br />A. In most cases the bulkhead should remain in place. The only exception is where thirty <br />feet of backfill can not be placed without removing the bulkhead. <br />
