1 <br />1.10 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The term "CONTRACTOR" shall mean DAMES & MOORE, INCORPORATED, a <br />Delaware Corporation with principal place of business in Los Angeles, California. <br />1.11 The term "FINAL ACCEPTANCE" shall mean written FINAL ACCEPTANCE of the <br />WORK issued by CONTRACTOR following 100 percent completion of the WORK by <br />SUBCONTRACTOR and inspection by CONTRACTOR and COMPANY. <br />1.12 The term "FINAL TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE" shall mean the final total price paid <br />by CONTRACTOR to SUBCONTRACTOR after accounting for the effect of <br />CONTRACT CHANGE AGRFAMRAI't'S, liquidated damages or contract assessments, <br />backchazges and changes in estimated quantities. <br />1.13 The term "MECHANICAL ACCEPTANCE" shall apply to any unit of equipment or <br />separable portion of the WORK which, following mechanical checkout, testing, and <br />correction of deficiencies detected during testing is found, in the sole judgment of <br />CONTRACTOR, to operate in conformance with this CONTRACT. <br />1.14 The term "COMPANY" shall mean Occidental Oil Shale, Inc. <br />1.15 The term "PROJECT PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE" (PPS) shall mean the time spans <br />within which CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTOR have agreed that the WORK <br />is to be commenced, performed and completed, and in the sequences stipulated therein. <br />1.16 Wherever the term "RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE" (RPR) is used within <br />the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, it shall mean the duly authorized engineering <br />' representative(s) of the CONTRACTOR or COMPANY. <br />1.17 "SHOP DRAWINGS" shall mean all drawings, diagrams, illustrations, schedules and <br />other data which are specifically prepared by or for SUBCONTRACTOR to illustrate <br />some portion of the WORK and all illustrations, brochwes, standazd schedules, <br />performance charges, instructions, diagrams and other information prepazed by a <br />' supplier and submitted by SUBCONTRACTOR to illustrate material or equipment for <br />some portion of the WORK. <br />1.18 The term "BYTE" shall mean the land provided by COMPANY under, in or through <br />which the WORK is to be performed. <br />1.19 "SPECIAL CONDITIONS" -The part of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS which <br />amends or supplements these General Conditions. <br />' 1.20 "SPECIFICATIONS" those portions of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS consisting of <br />written technical descriptions of materials, equipment, construction systems, standazds <br />and workmanship as applied to the WORK and certain administrative details applicable <br />' thereto. <br />3-2 <br />
