Sullivan <br />Douglas County <br />Commissioner District II <br />Commissioner Sullivan, a resident of Perry Park, Douglas County, Colorado since 1971, has been <br />a member of the Douglas County Boazd of County Commissioners since January 1989. As <br />President of the Douglas County Water Resource Authority, he is dedicated to preserving <br />underground water resources for all of Douglas County and is striving for reliance on renewable <br />water resources. <br />Mr. Sullivan is active in the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Colorado Counties, <br />Inc. (CCI). He serves as a CCI board member and he is the current President of the Front Range <br />District. Mr. Sullivan serves on several committees for these organizations. His particular areas of <br />emphasis are Public Lands and Payment-in-Lieu-of--Taxes (PICT) issues. Mr. Sullivan is the first <br />commissioner in twenty years to be selected as a member of the Douglas County Fair Boazd. Mr. <br />Sullivan serves, as Vice Chair, on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Denver & Douglas <br />County Economic Development Council. He has also served on the Governor's Smart Growth and <br />Development Sustainable Agriculture Task Force. Mr. Sullivan is a board member of the E-470 <br />Public Highway Authority. <br />Outside his role as Commissioner, Mr. Sullivan is a member of Christ Church in Castle Rock. He is <br />a former Senior Warden of the Vestry, and has been a member of the choir for twenty years. Mr. <br />Sullivan is an Honorary Foundation Board Member of Western State College in Gunnison and an <br />Honorary Boazd Member of Colorado Uplift.
