Towns in Douglas Cowry <br /> <br />ABOUT DOUGLAS COUNTY <br />Municipalities <br />http://www.douglas.co.us/DC/towns. htm <br />The County contains four incorporated municipalities: Castle Rock, Lazkspur, Lone Tree, and <br />Parker. Castle Rock, the county seat, is a historic mining and ranching area that incorporated in <br />1881. Today, the Town's council-manager form of government serves approximately 16,265 <br />residents. Castle Rock is home to a nationally recognized factory outlet mall--Castle Rock Factory <br />Shops. <br />Pazker, incorporated in 1981, takes great pride in preserving its western victorian charm and has <br />its own historical society. With a population of approximately 15,845, the Town has a <br />council-administrator form of government. Parker is home to several equestrian organizations, <br />hosts Parker Days (a 4-day country festival), and celebrates Christmas with an annual horse <br />carriage pazade. <br />Lazkspur is nestled on the northern slope of Pike National Forest.
