<br />' Any notice to or demand upon the Contractor shall be sufficiently given if delivered at the office <br />' of the Contractor, stated on the signature page of the agreement (or at such other office as the <br />Contractor may from time to time designate in writing to the Owner), or if deposited in the <br />United States mail in a sealed, postage-paid envelope, or delivered with chazges prepaid to any <br />telegraph company for transmission, in each case addressed to such office. <br />2.6 Schedule of Work <br />The Contractor shall develop a schedule of work for the Owner's approval t0 complete the <br />construction. In no instance shall approval by the Owner be considered to absolve the Contractor <br />from the responsibility of performing the required work or of protecting the work in interim <br />work stages, or from protecting the work completed prior to final acceptance by the Owner. <br />The following is a suggested general work sequence for constructing the facilities shown on the <br />Drawings. It is intended as a guideline for the Contractor to develop his own work sequence in <br />conjunction with that of the Owner to suit construction equipment and manpower scheduling and <br />meet design requirements. Additional activities required to complete the work, as outlined within <br />the Specifications and as shown on the Drawings, shall be added by the Contractor. <br />• Develop access roads to work areas, as needed. <br />• Develop a site drainage plan and maintenance scheme. <br />• Prepare the embanlanent and tailings disposal beach area foundation for fill placement. <br />• ' Place embankment raise fill. <br />• Install permanent survey monuments. <br />' Complete final grading and site cleanup. <br />The Engineer/Owner reserves the right to modify the Contractor's planned schedule at the time <br />' of its submission to meet the overall project requirements. The schedule for embankment raise <br />fill placement may be subject to revision by the Engineer based on the data provided by the <br />t settlement markers described in Section 9.0 of these specifications. <br />The Contractor shall submit the schedule developed concurrently with his bid. The schedule must <br />' clearly identify the critical path of activities necessary to complete the desigr><lted work. The <br />schedule submitted shall be in accordance with the actual calendar days on which actual work <br />' will be performed. The schedule shall be detailed to identify all work activities, critical <br />milestones, and float times. At a minimum, all activities addressed by these Specifications shall <br />be incorporated into the schedule.
