During September, the West Pit water treatment plant operated efficiently discharging a
total of 11,511,400 gallons (35.33 acre-feet) of water to Rito Seco Creek, a total of
1,144,200 gallons (3.51 acre-feet) of water was transferred from the water treatment plant
to the tailing impoundment, and seepage along Rito Seco Creek remained dry. The
monthly precipitation accumulation for September was 2.12 inches, with the largest
accumulation (i.e., 1.2 P') occurring on September 9a'.
