The pre-mining map shows that the land along the north end of the proposed site is owned by the <br />Walters Family Properties, however at least two other references checked by the Division show <br />that the Bureau of Land Management owns a parcel of land along the north side of the proposed <br />pernut. Please check the land ownership in the area and confirm to the Division the ownership of <br />this area. If there is an additional adjacent owner, there will need to be a appropriate changes <br />made to the application, additional notifications, and additional time to comment will be required <br />(Rule 1.6.2(1)(e)&(f)). <br />3. Please include and label all roads that are in or within 200 feet of the proposed pemvt boundazy <br />and the access road(s) to the proposed site. Who owns these roads? Are any of these roads part of <br />a county right of way? <br />4. What is the name of the creek or ditch that runs along the eastern end of the proposed site? <br />5. Per Rule 6.4.7 "Locate on the map (in Exhibit C) tributary water courses, wells, springs, stock <br />water ponds, reservoirs, and ditches on the affected land and on adjacent lands where such <br />structures may be affected by the proposed mining operations". Based on visual observations <br />made during the pre-operation inspection and through map reviews, a number of water related <br />structures were observed that were not in the application including, but not limited to: <br />a. A concrete lined irrigation ditch along or within the south boundary <br />b. What appeazs to be an eazthen water intercept trench and associated irritation ditch that <br />appears to be both within and along the south boundary. <br />c. What appears to be four or five watercourses running through the draws that begin above <br />and continue through the proposed site. <br />d. Label any conffol structures associated with these ditches. <br />e. Aground water pond with associated water pumping facility approximately 500 feet from <br />the southeast comer of the proposed site. <br />£ A reservoir in the un-named creek/ditch to the east of the proposed site. <br />g. Wellheads in or near the irrigated fields to the south of the property. <br />Please conduct a thorough investigation of all the water related structures per Rule 6.4.7 and <br />determine if any of these will be affected by the mining operation. Include all water structures in <br />exhibit C (see section 6.4.7 for additional comments). <br />6. Per Rule 6.4,3(d) please provide the total area to be involved in the operation, specifically the area <br />to be mined and the area of other affected lands. The current map does not establish those areas <br />that will be mined or affected by such actions as roads, topsoil piles, stockpiles, processing <br />facilities, or other facilities. Also see the definition for "affected land" in Rule 1.1(3). <br />7. Per Section 6.4.3(g) Show the owner's name, type of structures, and Location of all significant, <br />valuable, and permanent man-made structures contained on the area of affected land and within <br />two hundred (200) feet of the affected land. This should include but may not be limited to: <br />a. The road(s) that runs along the southern boundary of the proposed site. <br />b. A concrete lined irrigation lateral (see item 5 above). <br />c. An earthen water intercept trench and associated irritation ditch (see item 5 above). <br />d. Fence lines. <br />
