• <br />No Threatened, Endangered or Sensitive Species were around the drill site. In the <br />immediate vicinity of the site, habitat is lacking or is not suitable for nearly all the <br />species. With the ditTercnt habitat q~pes found in the nearby drainages there is suitable <br />habitat for several of the listed species. However, activities at the Weil site will not result <br />m the loss of env of this habitat <br />The only management indicator species observed were deer and cheer was evidence of <br />elk having been in the urea. For most MIS suitable habitat is lackutg near the drill site. <br />Raptors <br />Red-tailed hawks were observed soaring in the area, but no other raptors wc;re observed <br />dunng the surveys <br />i here arc two Aspen stands wrthm a few hundred yards of Site 19. Both of these stands <br />are dctcnoraung, and dominated by old growth trees GO-70 ~ feet tall. 'fhe spacing and <br />lack of a good canopy cover makes these areas low quality for accipiter nest saes. "fhese <br />stands were surveyed during the migraton• bird surveys and no nests were located <br />During surveys in ?001 these same stmtds were surveyed for raptor nests, but none were <br />located. <br />• I here are potential nest sites available in cliff's along neafiy drainages, but none of these <br />acre Hithm lid mile of the site. <br />7'hrcatened & F,ndangcred, Sensitive and Management Indicator Species <br />
