' Phase XIV: Remove the overburden from Area 13 and place it in Area 12. <br /> This should fill Area 12 to the final grade. However, if there is a sur- <br /> plus of overburden, it can be placed back into Area 13. ' Mine all the <br /> ' gravel from Area 13, de-watering as necessary. Reseed Area 12. <br /> Phase XV: Remove the overburden from Area 14 and place it in Area 13• <br /> ' Remove all gravel from Area 14, de-watering as necessary. Reseed Area 13. <br /> Phase XVI : Remove the overburden from Area 15 and place it in Area 14. <br /> It will probably not be possible to remove all of the gravel from Area 15 <br /> ' due to a shortage of backfill . Only enough gravel will be removed to <br /> allow grading to find contour. If additional overburden is needed to <br /> ' complete the backfilling of Area 15, overburden may be obtained by enlarg- <br /> ing the pond slightly. Reseed Areas 14 and 15• <br /> The mining operation at the site is complete. All portions of the <br /> site have been reclaimed to a farmable condition with the exception of <br /> the pond remaining in Areas 4, 5, 7, and 8. <br /> ' The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board has defined different degrees of <br /> disturbance in a mining and relcmation operation. The definition of those <br /> 1 three types of disturbance are as follows: <br /> ' Major Disturbance: That area of a mining operation that include exca- <br /> vations, overburden spoils, and topsoil stockpiles. <br /> ' Moderate Disturbance: That area of a mining operations which is a re- <br /> suit of backfilling of an open cut, stabilization of waste dumps, leveling <br /> of overburden soils, the smooth grading and the distribution of topsoil or <br /> ' other suitable approved plant growth medium. Also included within the <br /> affected area are on-site privateways, roads, railroads, evaporation or <br /> ' settling ponds, leaching dumps, work, parking, storage or discharge areas <br /> 1 <br /> -la- <br />
