• 4.07 <br />Any exploratory holes in advance of and within the confines <br />of the stripping boundaries that will be mined through immediately <br />be left open. <br />Any exploratory hole other than the above, that does not <br />intercept an aquifer shall be sealed by replacing the cutting in <br />the hole, placing a suitable plug such as a spider plug 10 feet <br />below the ground surface and then filling from the plug to within <br />three (3) feet of the ground surface with cement. <br />If the hole should intercept an acquifer, however the applicant <br />feels that this is not likely, then the hole shall be sealed from <br />bottom of the hole to within 10 feet of the surface with a cement <br />slurry. <br />The location of the holes shall be recorded and the location <br />marked in the field. <br />The Division is called attention to the applicant's response <br />on page VII-9 of the application concerning its prior approval in <br />Trinidad Basin Mining's Notice of Intent to Conduct Exploration <br />Work. <br /> <br />~,T ~ <br />
