7.4.3 Diversions <br />• <br />An integral conq~onent of the TBM sediment control system <br />is the construction of diversion ditches above the disturbed to <br />channel undisturbed area runoff away from disturbed areas. The <br />design of each diversion ditch can be found in F~chibit V-3, <br />Sediment Control System Calculations. <br />The construction of the ditches has been detailed in <br />Section V, and the reader is referred to that section for construction <br />specifics. No stream channel diversions are planned at the Trinidad <br />Basin Mine. <br />7.4.4 Sediment Control Measures <br />~ cPrlirmnt wntrol measures utilized at the Trinidad <br />Basin Mine have been designed to minimize sedimentation of streams <br />and areas outside of the permit boundaries, and minimize erosion. <br />The measures used to afford this protection have been discussed <br />in previous sections. <br />7.4.5 Sediment Ponds <br />The reader is referred to ESchibit V-3 for the sediment <br />control calculations. All ponds, ditches and culverts have been <br />designed using the appropriate precipitation event criteria. <br />The construction of the pond embanlanents has been discussed <br />in Section V, and the reader is referred to that section for the <br />construction practices. <br />7.4.6 Pcid-Forming and Toxic-Forming Spoil <br />VII-6 <br />
