• Ms. Paige Seville -2- April 25, 1984
7) W.E.C.C. should use the same seed mix and success criteria as indicated
in the Bear Mine permit or agree to reclaiming the entire bench to
W.E.C.C. standards. This is to ensure that the bench will have a
compatible and consistent stand of vegetation.
8) The revision should indicate a buffer distance that the upland diversion
will be kept back from the toe of Bear's old portals.
9) Bonding calculations did not include the cost of replacing the fill
material. We agreed that this item will be resolved during our pending
midterm bond evaluation.
10) Calculations and delineation of the 100 year flood plain of the
North Fork needs to be provided. The channel realignment done by the
Highway Department may affect the floodplain and should also be
addressed.
11) We agreed that W.E.C.C. may need to provide access to Bear No. 2 some
time in the future when Bear No. 2 ponds and access road are removed.
12) The map and sedimentation pond calculations and drawing needs to be
certified by a registered professional engineer prior to approval.
• If any questions arise please contact me.
Sincerely,
~~' i ~_
Robert Liddle
Reclamation Specialist
RL/ep
Doc.
