<br />M2. (Coal) Operator will bury all acid-producing or toxic materials <br />under at least two (2) feet of clean overburden. <br />M3. (Coal) In areas affected by this operation, operator will begin <br />backfilling within thirty (30) days of completion of mining in <br />any specified area or when the linear distance between mining and <br />backfilling reaches 1500 feet, with the exception of auger holes <br />which shall be fifteen (15) days or 500 feet. <br />M4. The vertical distance between benches, berms, or terraces shall be <br />not more than fifty (50) feet. <br />M5. Benches, berms, or terraces shall have a downward slope toward the <br />highwall of approximately one (1) inch vertical distance for each <br />two (2) feet of horizontal distance (approximately 2° from <br />horizontal). <br />ReveRetation & Topsoil <br />R1. Wherever possible operator will stockpile and retain topsoil on <br />the property covered by this permit for future use on said property. <br />R2. Unless development plane are scheduled for a particular area within <br />a period of three (3) years after cessation of mining operations, <br />operator will grade and stabilize any surface area disturbed by <br />this operation and revegetate the area, following the best informa- <br />tion available from qualified organizations or persons. <br />Safety <br />Sl. Operator will fence the area covered by the reclamation permit, <br />consisting of a six (6) foot high chain link fence topped with <br />three (3) strands of barbed wire canted outward. <br />Stabilization <br />ST1. Operator will maintain and stabilize finished slopes to a ratio <br />no steeper than two (2) horizontal to one (1) vertical. (The <br />above can revert to a less steeper elope to conform to local <br />zoning regulations). <br />-4- <br /> <br />
