-9-
• We have addressed the cyanide detoxification for the heap itself. We
have established a 0.2 parts per million detoxification standard for this.
The detoxification would be measured in parts per million free cyanide. This
detoxification process will be accomplished by rinsing, initially, the heap
and the ponds with a hydrogen peroxide solution. And then continued rinsing
with that solution, as well as the addition of fresh water, to achieve the 0.2
ppm. There will be some cyanide used in the mill facility itself and the
tails will be detoxified also to 0.2 per million free cyanide. This will be
measured at the point of deposition within the waste rock disposal facility.
If the 0.2 is exceeded, the material may not be deposited there out it will
need to be detoxified to that standard.
Do you have any questions you want to ask, as far as operations or
reclamation? I think that summarizes it in a nutshell what we have on the
proposal.
MR. BARRY: What kind of time frame are we talking about?
• MR. RENNER: It's a seven year, life of mine.
MR. BARRY: Seven?
MR. RENNER: Yes. ARy other questions?
MR. BARRY: And Bond?
MR. RENNER: I can address the bond now or in my follow up as to what the
four major issues were.
Is there anything else? As Fred indicated, we have had discussions with
the Company and the objectors over the course of the last month <_,ince the
Board meeting. The four issues we discussed were the emergency response plan,
the slurry wall design, the buttress design, and the amount of financial
warranty .
lI
