<br />16. (a) Section 228.10, Cessation of Operations, removal of structures <br />and equipment: Unless otherwise authorized by the Authorized <br />Officer, it is agreed to remove within 6 on cessation of <br />(months) <br />operations, all structures, equipment, and other facilities and <br />clean up the site of operations. Other than seasonally, where <br />operations have ceased temporarily, it is agreed to file a state- <br />ment with the District Ranger which includes: <br />1. Verification of intent to maintain the structures, equipment, <br />and other facilities; <br />2. Advise of the expected date of resuming operations; <br />3. Provide ah estimate of the extended duration of operations. <br />It is further agreed that (a) a statement will be filed each year <br />by the operator in the event operations are not reactivated and <br />(b) the operator will maintain the operating site, structures, <br />equipment, and other facilities in a neat and safe condition <br />during nonoperating periods. <br />17. (a) Approval of .this Operating Plan does not constitute now or 'in <br />the future recognition or certification of the validity of any <br />mining claim to which it may relate or to the mineral character <br />of the land on which it lies. <br />-10- <br />
