(a) Section 228.11, Prevention and Control of Fire: The operator <br />shall comply with all applicable Federal and State firs laws <br />and regulations and shall take all necessary measures to prevent <br />and suppress fires on the area of operations and shall require <br />his employees and contractors and subcontractors to do likewise. <br />19. (a) Approval of this Operating Plan does not constitute recognition <br />or certification of ownership by any person named as owner <br />herein. <br />20. (a) Upon notice by the authorized officer that he has received <br />evidence that another party asserts a title interest in the <br />area covered by this plan all work being conducted hereunder <br />shall cease until the conflict is resolved. <br />21. (a) The Forest Service is responsible for inventorying the area to <br />be disturbed prior to any surface disturbance authorized by <br />this plan to determine the presence of significant cultural <br />resources and. will specify protection and/or mitigative measures <br />-. to be undeitaken-by the operator. The operator may, at his -- <br />discretion and cost, conduct the inventory and evaluation of <br />significance on the lands to be disturbed. The tasks must be <br />done by or under the supervisor of a qualified archeologist <br />authorized by a permit from the Forest Service. Upon review <br />of the report, the Forest Service will specify necessary <br />protective and/or mitigative measures to be undertaken by the <br />operator. <br />-11- <br />
