I~7urray <br />for a Reclamation permit. <br />SIfMb1ARYe <br />DATE• 06~02~78 <br />Soils: Attached are the soils and interpretations for the <br />quarry area as it now exists, Soils surrounding the excavated <br />area are also included, The descriptions define the character- <br />istics of the soil and possible uses. <br />Soil types: Found on site. <br />-50A--Nederland Cobbly Gravelly Sandy Loam, <br />0 to 3 percent slopes. <br />-102-Borrow Area=Gravel, cobbly and loamy Soils. <br />pH - The soils on this site are neutral to slightly alkaline. <br />Conductivity - Salinity is expressed in terms of (millio- <br />momos~centimeter). Soil salinity is recognized and inter- <br />preted in the soil survey process as follows: <br />CLASS SALTS TSS) ERTRACT MhJIOSjC14 <br />Non Saline 0.0 - 0.15 0 - 4 <br />Slight l;/ Saline 0,15 - 0.35 q _ 8 <br />rioderately Saline 0.35 - 0.65 8 _ 15 <br />Strongly Saline Above 0;65 Above 15 <br />The soils mentioned af;ove are all non saline. The spoils <br />piles may approach slightly saline after mining.
