The site is a Cobbly foothill range site, The area <br />is xithin the Southern Rocky Mountain Foothills Resource Area. <br />Production on the site is approximately 1600 pounds on the <br />areas that have not been disturbed. Ground cover averages <br />35 per cent. The production from the site is mainly due to <br />the grasses. The carrying capacity, assuming the site will <br />be revegetated to resemble the present community, should be <br />limited to one animal unit~4-5 Acres month. (An animal unit <br />is the feed required to maintain a 1000 lb, cox for one month.) <br />Vegetation identified on the site includes: <br />GRP.SSES <br />Big bluestem <br />Little bluestem <br />Junegrass <br />Blue grama <br />Squirrel Tail <br />S•lestern wheatgrass <br />Thick spike wheatgrass <br />Green needlegrass <br />Needle and thread <br />Aountain muhly <br />Kentucky bluegrass <br />Three awn <br />Sun sedge <br />Japanese Brome <br />FORBS <br />Curly cup gumweed <br />Hibiscus root <br />3ild celery <br />Penstomen <br />Hair}' gold aster <br />I:ullen <br />?navy leaf thistle <br />Hush buckwheat <br />Annual buc}:wheat <br />Senecio <br />Primrose <br />Drummonds milkvetch <br />Small pod milkvetch <br />SHRUBS <br />Herbaceous sage <br />Fringed sage <br />Prickly pear <br />?dormirood sage <br />Revegetation guidelines may be obtained from the Soil <br />Conservation Service. <br />23 <br />
