A loadout site will be constructed within the disturbed area between the
processing facilities and the railroad tracks. The site grill be excavated
down to the elevation of the tracks, and if needed, a ramp will be built up
to accommodate loading of the cars. The site will be approximately 150' X
300' X 6'. It is anticipated that about 10,000 yd3 will be excavated from
the site. An oiling system will be constructed immediately adjacent to the
secondary crusher. Permit Renewal Map 5 depicts the location of the 500
gallon heating tank and the 12,000 storage tank. The heater oil will be
piped along the product belt structure and will be applied to the stoker
coal as the coal leaves the belt. The 500 gallon heating tank has been
removed from the oiling system (MR 89-45).
Some of the excavated material will be placed east of the site near the
railroad tunnel and road. This will allow for improved drainage from this
area around the site within the disturbed area. The drainage form this area
will continue to drain into the existing sediment pond. The site may be
covered with rock to facilitate operations during wet weather. The location
of the site is shown on Permit Renewal Map 5.
• An access site and temporary coal storage facility will be constructed
within the disturbed area between the west side of the tunnel loadout and
the Pond B treatment facility. This site will be used for periodic coal
cleanup done in the loadout tunnel and associated segment of railroad
track. During the cleanup activities coal may be temporarily stockpiled for
3 or 4 days prior to haulage to the tipple. Coal cleanup will be required
on the average of 4 or 5 times a year. Each cleanup will consist of 4 or 5
hours of work to remove 2 to 4 tons of coal. Recovered coal will be
tramed from the tunnel by a 910 loader and loaded into a dump truck which
carries the spilled coal to the coal stockpile for recycling. The drainage
from this area will drain into the existing Pond B treatment facility. This
site may also be covered with rock to facilitate operations during wet
weather. The location of the site is shown on Permit Renewal Map 5.
In order to accommodate the need to stockpile additional coal at the tipple,
the existing stockpile will be extended in a southerly direction, as shown
•
MR 90-48 780-35(a) Revised 04/12/90
