Revised April 5, 1985
• topography. The haulroad corridor will be revegetated to meet the
requirements of Rule 4.15.
Access Roads
Location, Design and Construction
The existing haulroad provides direct access to the Fish Creek Tipple
from Routt County Road No. 179. Since the design specifications for
the haulroad were prepared in accordance with the requirements of Rule
4.03.1, the performance standards stupulated under Rule 4.03.2 are
also satisfied.
The only road used exclusively for access to the tipple facility is
located in the SE1/4 of Section 2, T5N, R86W. This preexisting access
road was designed and constructed so as to minimize erosion,
downstream sedimentation, and damage to public or private property.
Design specifications for the access road are included as Figure 3,
• Access Road Typical Cross-Section and Figure 4, Access Road Typical
Profile. The steepness limitations specified under Rule 4.03.2(3) for
grade, pitch, cut slopes and embankments were not exceeded in access
road design or construction.
Access to Pond E will be accomplished by use of a dirt road east of
the pond as shown on Map 15, Fish Creek Tipple Surface Support
Facilities and Structure. The purpose of this road is to provide
access to the pond for: (1) sampling; (2) inspection; and (3)
maintenance.
The road slopes down to the pond at an average 6X slope. The road
follows along the east side of the pond and crosses no stream
channels. The area of construction is neither wet, steep or unstable.
Culverts are not included on this road and natural drainage of the
area has not been altered.

2.05-12
