ERO Resources <br />• <br />The Moyerson soil is shallow, calcareous and well drained. It dew loped <br />from fine-textured residuum owr loamstone and shale. Small areas of <br />Redcreek and Rentaao soils and rock outorop were included in mapping. <br />Redcreak soils are shallow and more loamy. Rerrtsac soils are shallow and <br />skeletal. <br />In a typical profile, the surfave layer is light yellowish brown sandy <br />loam about 2 inches thick. The subsurface soil is light yellowish brown <br />channery loam about 5 inches thick. The substratum is pale brown <br />calcareous channery silty clay about 7 inches thick and is underlain with <br />fractured, interbedded, calcareous sandstone, loamstone and shale at a <br />depth of 14 inches. <br />The Moyerson soil has moderately slow to slow permeability and medium to <br />moderately rapid runoff. Tha erosion hazard is low to moderate from wind <br />and moderate to high from water. Awilabte waterholding capacity is <br />• moderate. Effective rooting depth is 10 to 20 inches. <br />This soil is used for livestock grazing and wildlife habitat. The <br />vegetation is primarily mixed perennial grasses, sparse big sagebrush and <br />some areas of cheatgrass. <br />The average depth of suitable topcoil material ie B inches. This material <br />is rated poor to fair with suitability decreasing with depth. <br />l I <br />II.I-16 <br />
