6-11-1999 11:30AM FROM ADCO/BAYER/CHEROKEE 303 452 4515 P.6
19. Per commitment made in item 7 (D) on page 3 of this fax, a statement will be
included in the Exhibit D -Mining Plan that requires a technical revision and an
inaease in bond to be processed at such time as the flood management designs
are approved by UD&FCD, and that no mining will occur within 400' of the
riverbank as determined by UD&FCD until such a technical revision is processed.
20. I think eve adequately discussed on June 1 the terms of low flow channel, existing
high banks, floodplain, and floodway areas. If further clarification is needed, 1 can
add it into the Exhibit G naztative and show a representative location of each area
on the Exhibit C-1 -Pre-Mining Map.
21. Tuttle Applegate will prepare further analysis and discussion of the possible
`mounding" and `shadow" affects of the slurry wall. A summary of this analysis
and discussion will be included in Exhibit G -Water Information.
22. Tuttle Applegate will prepare further characterization of the average depth to
groundwater, hydraulic gradient and/or flow direction, and expected seepage
velocity or flow rate. A summary of this further characterization will be included
in Exhibit G -Water Information.
23. In response to Mr. Weber's comments, we will include in Exhibit E -Reclamation
Plan Map a specific number of willow and cottonwood saplings that will be
planted in degraded stream bank areas and along the County's proposed trail
easement area.
24. We K~II provide representative soil cores on the western portions of the property.
Please understand, this data should be considered confidential information.
Where appropriate we will change the text throughout the application to be
consistent with this data.
25. Per item 12 on page 5 of this fax, a wetlands inventory is being completed along
with specific plans for the 404 permit to mitigate wetlands removal with
replacement wetlands and provide a cost estimate for the replacement, and
incorporate these plans into Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan. In Exhibit D -Mining
Plan, the statement will be added that no wetlands area identified in the inventory
will be disturbed until the 404 permit is issued. In both Exhibit E -Reclamation
Plan and in Exhibit L -Reclamation Cosis, the statement will be included that if
the approved 404 mitigation plan is substantially different from what is
incorporated into these plans, a technical revision will be submitted and processed
to incorporate the approved 404 permit mitigation plan.
6
