The estimated reclamation costs will be revised to reflect the commitments made
previously in this fax for your review and approval. Once you have approved
these revised costs, these will be included in Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs.
27. Exhibit S will add the other struttures that you identified as being within 200' of
the permit boundary. In addition, both Exhibit D -Mining Plan and Exhibit C-2
- Mining Plan Map will incorporate the following changes:
(A) A 200' setback from the PSCo. towers will be shown that can only be
modified by either an agreement with PSCo. or approval by the DMG staff
based on a revised Stability Analysis. This should adequately address Mr.
Sorenson's item # 1 in his April 23, 1999 memo.
(B) The setback from the Fulton Ditch will be adjusted to correspond to Mr.
Sorenson's comment by showing and describing in the text a 65' setback
from to the Ditch.
(C) A 200' setback from the Sinclair Pipeline will be shown, that can only be
modified by either an agreement with Sinclair Pipeline, or approval by the
DMG staff based on a revised Stability Analysis and a plan to install the
appropriate monitoring devices (strain gauges, inclinometers, etc.) that the
DMG deems acceptable.
(D) Soil core data will be submitted demonstrating 30'± to bedrock.
(E) The temporary excavation slope will be modified on the maps and text to
be a potentially straight vertical excavation, and TuttleApplegate will base
any revised Stability Analysis calculations on a temporary vertical
excavation.
(F) A statement that both the subsurface utilities and the setback from each
utility will be locaud and staked in the field prior to beginning operations
in an area neaz such a subsurface utility.
Please call me and we can go over each item and get agreement on what is required,
before I revise the text and maps appropriately.
7
