Revised 11/85 • will be extracted during the first year (1982). Also, there will be a gob disposal area established within the old works of the C Coal Seam near this first east panel. This gob area will be established to dump rock and waste material cleaned up in the old entries of the Edwards Mine and also for other development work, gob work, etc. that may have to be accomplished during the life of the mine. Development of the main five (5) entry system will be continued during the second year of operation for an additional 2;000 feet. Panel development will begin off the main entries as shown on the Mine Plan Map (Map 9). In year 4, mining and development will proceed west from the D-052504 lease into the C-0117192 lease. The second west sub-main will be developed during the 4th and 5th year proceeding to the westernmost boundary of the permit area (approximately 2,300 feet). Development of the 2nd right and 3rd right panel entries will begin off the main entry . as shown on the Mine Plan Map (Map 9). Mining will be conducted in this area during Years 4 through 6. During year 6, the south main will be extended approximately 1,4000 feet to allow development into the 4th east and 3rd west panels. Retreat mining will begin in the first west panels. As retreat mining is completed in panels off the 1st west sub-main, this area will be sealed off entirely for fire protection and ventilation efficiency. In Years 7 through 12, the 3rd west sub-main will be developed to the westernmost boundary of the permit area, approximately 3,300 feet. From the 3rd west sub-main, the 1st right and 2nd right panel entries will be developed. Barrier pillars for support, ventilation control, and fire protection will be left as shown on the Mine Plan Map (Map 9). In approximately Year 11, the 1st left panel entry will be developed off the 3rd west sub-main. -20-
