the alluvial valley floor is presented in Exhibit 6, Hydrology and
Geology Information, Exhibit 8, water We11 Information, Exhibit 9,
Water Quality Analysis, Exhibit 12, Soils Information, and Exhibit
13, Vegetation Information. Apache and Ciruela Canyons have been
found not to contain AVF's because of the absence of subirrigation
in Apache Canyon and the limited size criteria in Ciruela Canyon. ,
This is also the case with Santistevan and Lopez Canyons. Extrac-
tion of coal under and adjacent to Wet Canyon will be limited to
prevent subsidence and potential impacts in that canyon.
WFC has completed a mine plan, shown on Map 3, Mine Plan,
which will not interrupt, discontinue, or preclude farming on the
alluvial valley floor, nor will it materially damage the quantity
or quality of water in the surface and groundwater systems which
supply the alluvial valley floor.

2.06-3
l I
(Revised 04/27/94)
