Mr. Gary Tuttle
January 14, 1998
Page 2
No groundwater in Phases 2 or 3 will be exposed prior to final
construction of the slurry wall and written acceptance of the
construction and quality assurance/quality control report by
DMG.
3. Provide a financial warranty in the amount sufficient to
backfill Phases 2 and 3 with earthen and inert materials in
the event that the slurry wall fails. No groundwater in
Phases 2 or 3 may be exposed until the financial warranty is
provided and approved by DMG.
4. Provide a financial warranty to cover the cost of the
construction of the slurry wall in the event that DMG is
required to complete the slurry wall. No groundwater in
Phases 2 or 3 may be exposed until the financial warranty is
provided and approved by DMG.
In options 2, 3 and 4, the operator must provide information
regarding the permeability and geologic conditions of the
underlying bedrock that the slurry wall will be keyed into and
would form the bottom of the reservoir. Pre-disturbance baseline
static water levels for the shallow groundwater such as from
drillers or geotechnical logs of the auger holes drilled across the
permit area and any other well information on or near the site
currently available must be provided.
Any of the above options must be submitted as a revision to the
permit and be approved by the DMG prior to exposing groundwater in
Phases 2 or 3.
The bond amount has been calculated at $151,000.00 and includes the
cost to replace 12 inches of topsoil. The revised calculations are
enclosed.
