• Water Augmentation
The augmentation plan would require that tributary water be replaced if such water is called.
Water would be augmented from the Laramie-Fox Hills well #24650-F
As stated in the previous text, planned reclamation of pits above water table eliminates the
consumptive use of tributary water at the Keenesburg Mine. Coors has no plans to excavate
below the water table. It is, therefore, Coors' belief that an augmentation plan submitted within
this permit renewal would be inappropriate.
Water surface areas in B-pit will continue to exist during the first part of 1991; however,
continuation of reclamation should eliminate the water surface areas by the permit renewal date.
consumptive use of tributary water for the first half of 1991 will be included in the 1991 annual
hydrology report due in January of 1992. Should reclamation operations not proceed as planned,
the Division will be notified with the revised plan.
U
•
59
