They are situated <br />in proximity to each other, along the ]o~•ier section of Wilson Creek and <br />each contains one or more eroding hearths and a potential for buried <br />cultural deposits. Artifact assemblages are diverse, including prepared <br />tools, debitage, and groundstone items. Each of these sites has, there- <br />fore, the potential to contribute important information to the area's <br />prehistory in the form of critical chronometric dating, site function, <br />subsistence and paleoenvironmental data (pollen and flotation), and <br />technological analyses. <br /> <br /> <br />36 <br />
