R71W, T2 S, 5411/4 NE1/4 - The temporary waste rock handling area
• at this location will be significantly smaller than the waste dump
located at NW1/4 SE1/4. Additionally, present plans do not include
any residual waste rock at this location upon completion of mining.
The area will be mulched, seeded and fertilized according to the
procedures outlined above.
R70W, T2S, NElJ4 N411/4 - All ore bearing rock will be rE~moved
from the transfer pad as well as from the adjacent soil material.
The pad, which was not originally constructed for use by Coti:er
Corporation and which was available for use as part of a lea~~e
agreement (See Exhibit 0), will be returned to its owner.
In summary, the affected land will be rehabilitated in z. manner
that will create a more productive cattle crazing site than that
which existed prior to the beginning of mining operations. F~11 build-
ings, equipment, vehicles and refuse will be removed from the affected
land. The use of proper seedbed preparation methods, and the applica-
tion of fertilizer will enhance the initial establishment of a stand
of native grasses. As native forties and shrubs reintroduce themselves
into the area, wildlife foraging activity may increase above its pre-
sent level. Due to the fact that mine drainage will not occur and as
a result of proper reclamation procedures, the water quality in Ralston
Creek will continue to be good. As ground cover on the affected land
increases, the incidence of wind blown dust will be significantly re-
duced.
A description of the water impoundment areas has been included in
Exhibit D.

E-15
