Amore detailed description of each area within the permit boundary is as follows:
A- This part of the Fulton Wddlife portion of the permit azea is 27.46 acres in size. It is located
east of the S. Platte River, south of 104'" Avenue, north of the PSCo. right-of--way, and west
of the Fulton Ditch. East of the bank along the S. Platte River, 10+ acres of this parcel is
heavily vegetated with tree stands. The ground cover is non-irrigated grass ground cover
with riparian species west of the bank along the S. Platte River. It is completely within the
floodplain of the S. Platte River, and mostly within the floodway azea of the floodplain. There
are no structures on the parcel. Structures within 200' of the parcel are: periphery fencing,
104th Avenue (SH 44}, United Power power poles in the right-of--way, three PSCo. tower
structures, the Fulton Ditch, and the Spring Creek Ditch.
From west to east the parcel has roughly three elevation levels: the S. Platte River channel;
a 10'-50'+ wide north-south berm along the River; and the remaining fairly level area to the
Fulton Ditch. Approximately 11 acres of this parcel is within the low flow channel of the S.
Platte River and won't be disturbed in any manner by the mining operation.
B- This part of the Fulton Wildlife portion of the permit area is 29.61 acres in size. It is located
south of the PSCo. right-of--way, east of the S. Platte River, west of the Fulton Ditch, and
north of 100'" Avenue. This parcel is vegetated with isolated tree stands and non-irrigated
grass ground cover. As with Parcel A, this parcel is completely within the floodplain of the
S. Platte River and mostly within the floodway area of the floodplain.
The only structures on the parcel are two pipelines in three easements in the southwest corner
of the site. The northern most and middle easements are for two non-pressurized water
discharge pipes from the Fulton Ditch to the S. Platte River for water augmentation The
southernmost easement, farthest away from any proposed muting, is a gasoline pipeline of the
Sinclair Pipeline Company..A second parallel non-pressurized pipeline is also expected to be
installed in the near future between the gasoline pipeline and the other non-pressurized water
augmentation dischazge pipeline. Structures within 200' of the parcel are: the Fulton Ditch,
100'" Avenue, and three PSCo. tower structures.
From west to east the parcel has roughly three elevation levels: the S. Platte River channel;
a 10'-50'+ wide north-south berm along the River; and the remaining fairly level area to the
Fulton Ditch of which there are 1+ acres of probable jurisdictional wetlands within this area
proposed to be mined. Approximately 5 acres of this parcel is within the low flow channel
of the S. Platte River, and, except for the possible installation of a conveyor support structure
in this area, this area won't be disturbed in any manner by the mining operation.
