• <br />Section 815.11 (b) Continued. <br />As stated in Section 776.12, Kerr Coal will not conduct coal explo- <br />ration during which more than 250 tons of coal are removed. <br />• <br />• <br />Section 815.13 Required documents. <br />Each person who conducts coal exploration which substantially disturbs <br />the natural land surface and which removes more than 250 tons of coal <br />shall, while in the exploration area, possess written approval of the <br />regulatory authority for the activities granted under 30 CFR 776.12. <br />The written approval shall be available for review by the authorized <br />representative of the regulatory authority or the Office upon request. <br />As indicated in Section 776,12, Kerr Coal will not conduct coal <br />exploration during which more than 250 tons of coal are removed. <br />Section 815.15 Performance standards for coal exploration. <br />The performance standards in this Section are applicable to coal explor- <br />ation which substantially disturbs land surface. <br />(a) Habitats of unique value for fish, wildlife, and other related <br />environmental values and areas identified in 30 CFR 780.16 (b) shall not <br />be disturbed during coal exploration. <br />As discussed in Sections 779.20 and 780.16(b), there are no habi- <br />tats of unique value for fish and wildlife activity within the Kerr <br />Mine Area. However, two sage grouse strutting grounds (leks) are <br />located adjacent to the Kerr Mine Area in the southeast quarter of <br />the southwest quarter, Section 23, Township 9 North, Range 78 West <br />815-3 <br />
