Water Wells <br />Sun Coal has two decreed water wells that will be traded to Eilts. The <br />wells are: <br />• 1 Coal Crusher Weli location SENW, Sec. 14, T.6N.. R. 87W. 6th P.M., <br />1350 feet from the north section line and 2250 feet from the west section <br />line. Industrial well 0.111 cfs, watercase W-1201-78. Priority Date 6-15-77 <br />dated 7-19-79. <br />2. Office Trailer Well in NENW Section 14, T.6N., R.87W., 6th P.M., <br />750 feet from the north section line and 1980 feet from west section line. <br />Commercial well 0.33 cfs watercase W-1200-78. Priority Date 6-15-77 <br />dated 7-19-79. <br />All of Sun Coal Company's exploration drilling was covered by <br />Prospecting Bond No. 81-72-92 for $25,000.00 (released September, <br />1981). Sun Coal Company abandoned all exploration drill holes, by mixing <br />cement with drill cuttings from the bottom of a drill hole to 20 feet above <br />the uppermost coal or above the uppermost aquifer, whichever was higher. <br />The remainder of the hole is filled with drill cuttings and cement to within <br />10 feet of the surface. <br />~- Compliance With Clean Air and Clean Water Plans - Backfilled Mine Area <br />During operation, Sun Coal Company had the necessary fugitive dust <br />permits from the Air Pollution Control Division of the Colorado Department <br />of Health. These permits aze still valid; however, since the azea is <br />reclaimed, permits aze not required. <br />Sun Coal Company received appropriate NPDES permit to discharge <br />surface water from the reclaimed mine azea. The ponds are being <br />monitored and maintained as outlined in Section 2.05.6. <br />Reclamation -Haul Road and Facilities Area <br />Sun Coal Company reclaimed the Meadows No. 1 mine haul road and <br />ancillary facilities in compliance with CMLRD regulations and the desires of <br />the landowner. In accordance with these requirements and requests, the <br />bridge over the Yampa River, shop buildings, haul road, office trailer and <br />truck scale, and other facilities will remain in place for the use of the <br />surface owner. Sun Coal Company, during decommissioning activities, <br />removed azeas covered with coal fines, removed excess road gravel, scazified <br />compacted areas, topsoiled disturbed areas where necessary, repaired rills <br />and gullies. <br />- 338 - (Rev. 7/93) <br />
