~J
2.6 Maintenance Program
The accumulated sediment in the ponds will be periodically, removed
so that it never reaches the principal spillway inlet. Checking of sediment
accumulation will be done quarterly, as a minimum, and more frequently
in late spring and summer.
Pond "A" must be manually dewatered after each runoff event by opening
the gate. This will be done between 24 and 36 hours after the runoff
event occurs.
Both sediment ponds will be checked periodically for blocking of
trashracks, and spillways, excessive erosion or piping, and deposition
of sediment in spillways. Slopes of the embankment and spillways will
be maintained.
t~

~~ ~ 254
