3.0 Diversion Ditches <br />Diversion ditches will be used to convey runoff from the disturbed areas <br />into the sediment ponds {see Map JFSA-1). The diversion ditches have been <br />designed according to the following criteria: <br />1. A trapezoidal channel with a side slope of 2h:ly <br />Z. Manning roughness coefficient of 0,030. <br />3. Design flow is peak discharge from 10-year, 24-hour storm event or <br />0.37 cfs/acre (from S.O.A.P, report). <br />4. Freeboard will be a minimum of 0.5 feet. <br />Results of calculations using the Manning formula to size the ditches <br />are in Table 2.3. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />• nGC <br />
