2.5 Specifications <br />1. Strip top 1' of loose material under dam, Scarify and compact the <br />top b inches of subgrade to 95°d compaction at optimum moisture content <br />per ASTM D698 <br />2. Place fill material in continuous horizontal layers in lifts not <br />exceeding 6 inches loose thickness and compacted to plus 95o compaction <br />and optimum moisture content (0 to plus 2°d wet). <br />3. Material for fill shall conform to the following: <br />Clays and sandy clays with a minimum of 70 percent by weight passing <br />Np. 200 sieve and having a plasticity index of 10 or more and free <br />of roots, debris, and other deleterious material. <br />4. Concrete shall have a minimum compressive strength of 3000psi, entrained <br />air equal to 5°d plus or minus 1; percent. All concrete and concrete <br />work shall conform to ACI 308. <br />- 5. Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615. <br />6. Structural Plates and shapes shall conform to ASTM A36, <br />7. CMP shall be galvinized corrugated metal pipe conforming to AASHTO <br />M36 . <br />8. Pipe material-cast iron soil pipe _ ASTM A-74 <br />9. Riprap shall be hard durable stone of durability to withstand exposure <br />to water and weathering. Riprap shall be placed on a bedding of <br />3 inch clean sand. <br />1D. Trench for conduits shall be excavated to lines shown on the drawings. <br />Beckfill shall consist of material with 100 percent passing 4 sieve <br />and from of organic and deletrious material.
