<br />4.16 POST-MINING LAND USE <br />4.16.1 General <br />Implementation of the detailed reclamation plan as presented in Section <br />2.05.4 will. result in a landscape and vegetative cover that is equal or <br />better than the condition that currently exists in the area. <br />4.16.2 Determining Pre-Mining Use of the Land <br />The pre-mining land uses for the permit area and adjacent areas are <br />shown on the Pre-Mining and Post-Mining Land Use Map (Map 7). The <br />narrative describing the land use of the permit area is presented under <br />Section 2.04.3. The proposed post-mining land use will involve <br />restoration of the pre-mining land use to rangeland. <br />The areas of surface disturbance by past underground mining operations <br />• will be reclaimed to rangeland since this was the historic land use of <br />the area. <br />4.16.3 Prior to the Release of Lands From the Permit Area in <br />Accordance with 3.03.1(2) <br />n <br />The land use of rangeland will be restored in a timely manner as <br />outlined in Section 2.05.4. Implementation of the reclamation plan <br />contained therein will insure a contemporaneous reclamation program <br />following the completion of underground mining. No alternative land <br />uses will be implemented in the reclamation plan set forth under Section <br />2.05.4. <br /> <br />4.16-1 <br />
