<br />Fuel storage tanks for gasoline and diesel fuel for the production <br />equipment is also maintained in the tipple area. <br />GEC currently utilizes a water tank in the tipple area for use in <br />the water trucks for controlling dust during dry warm conditions. <br />Sediment Pond T is located downslope from the tipple area to <br />contain all runoff and sediment from the tipple area as shown <br />on the Existing Structures Map No. 22 and the Hydrology Map No. 9. <br />Sediment control structure was designed and constructed to meet the <br />applicable Performance Standards. All structures which are in <br />existence are shown on the Existing Structures Map for the Tipple <br />Area, No. 22. <br />The facilities which GEC Minerals, Inc. utilizes were constructed <br />by previous operators of this mine prior to GEC Minerals, Inc. <br />beginning of operation in 1976. Generally, these structures consist <br />• of structural steel, sheet metal and concrete construction designed <br />for their current use for the life of the mine. <br />Access to the tipple area is provided by County Highway 93 which <br />intersects with County Highway 15 East of the tipple area. Mine <br />Haul Road "A" from this intersection to the pit area is utilized <br />for haulage of the coal and access for administrative and supervisory <br />purposes. <br />• <br />2.05-10 <br />
