Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
Reclamation will occur concurrently with mining as described in Exhibit D. The
post mining land use will be rang eland. The final planned configuration of the area is
illustrated on the Exhibit F map included herein. The elements of the reclamation plan
are given below.
Site Clean UD
Any trash on site will be cleaned up and hauled to the public landfill.
Backfilling
All overburden salvaged during the mining operation will be backfilled into the
pit using a scraper and dozer. The berm of the detention pond will also be backfilled
into the detention basin.
Grading
The side slopes of the pit will be graded to no steeper than a ratio of 3:1 (h:v).
The pit floor will be graded to a gentle slope of around three to four percent toward the
southeast (the Exhibit F map illustrates the final topography ).
The final surface configuration of the lands surrounding the pit area will be
virtually identical to the existing ground surface slope and require little minor smooth
grading. In such areas the approximate original contour will occur.
Runoff Diversions
Contour furrows or water bars will be established on the pit slopes to reduce
erosion and encourage stable plant growth.
Soil Realacement
Topsoil will be replaced on the disturbed areas to a depth averaging about
eight inches (with the range being from about six to 12 inches).
-~-
