Representative Projects Denise Larson <br />Wetland Delineation and Mitigation <br />Riverdale Mitigation Bank, Adams County, CO. <br />Delineated wetlands, assisted with mitigation <br />design, and worked with the bfidgation Bank <br />Review Team (including the Corps, EPA, and <br />FWS) to designate the Riverdale wetland site as an <br />accredi[ed mitigation bank. Assisted with <br />construction of the 20-acre mitigation bank and <br />monitored the site as required by the Corps. <br />TranSystems, Burlington Northern Sonta Fe Railroad. <br />Delineated wetlands for railroad track projects in <br />Montana, Nebraska, Missouri, Alabama, Idaho, <br />and Wyoming. Developed mitigation plans for <br />several of these projects. <br />Buckley Road Bridge and Piney Creek Erosion Control <br />Structures, Aurora, CO. <br />Assisted the Army Corps of Engineers and <br />Colorado Department of Transportation with <br />permitting for the Buckley Bridge crossing of <br />Pinev Creek and associated erosion control <br />structures. Tasks included delineating wetlands, <br />designing wetland rru¢gation, completing a wetland <br />£mding for CDOT, conducting a wildlife survey <br />for SB40, and completing a CDOT-approved weed <br />management plan. <br />Threatened, Endangered and Sensitive Species <br />Assessments <br />City of Golden Water Pipeline Project, Golden, CO. <br />assisted the City of Golden with the successful <br />design of a pipeline route and made <br />recommendations on construction techniques for <br />an area with known populations of the threatened <br />Ute ladies'-tresses orchid. <br />South Lake Gulch Road, Douglas County, CO. <br />Delineated and designed wetlands and habitat for a <br />known population of Preble's meadow jumping <br />mice. <br />Forest Service Trail, Douglas County, CO. <br />Conducted species assessments for a segment of a <br />Forest Service trail in Douglas County to determine <br />likelihood of occurrence of over 80 [hreatened, <br />endangered and Forest Service sensitive species. <br />Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting <br />Southern Delivery System Environmental Impact <br />Assessment, EI Paso and Pueblo Counties. <br />Conducted surveys for threatened, endangered, <br />and sensitive plant species, and noxious weeds for <br />several alternatives for a proposed water project. <br />Northern Integrated Supply Project Environmental <br />Impact Assessment, Lorimer and Weld Counties. <br />Conducted surveys forthreatencd,endangexed, <br />and sensitive plant species, and noxious weeds Fox <br />a proposed water project. Included mapping <br />locations of a rare plant, Bell's twinpod. <br />Black Hawk Water Supply EIS, CO. <br />Conducted wetland and vegetation inventory for <br />project alternatives; prepared the biological <br />assessment addressing federally listed species issues <br />Noxious Weed Management Plans <br />Denver Federal Center, Lakewood, CO. <br />Conducted surveys for state-listed noxious weeds <br />on the Federal Center property in Jefferson <br />Count}'. <br />CD07 Highway Projects, CO. <br />Mapped state-listed noxious weeds and developed <br />weed control plans according to CDOT <br />requirements along Highway 3G in Boulder Count}' <br />and segments of I-2~ in the City of Pueblo, City <br />of Denver, and Adams Count}'. <br />Open Lands Management and Restoration <br />Cherry Creek Corridor, Denver, CO. <br />Conducted vegetation and wildlife surveys <br />including management recommendations Eor a <br />proposed natural area along Cherry Creek. <br />Stapleton Development Corporation, Denver, CO. <br />Developed and wrote landscape guidelines for <br />Stapleton redevelopment project. <br />Westerly Creek Restoration, Denver, CO. <br />Provided technical assistance for restoration of <br />~X/esterl}' Creek from a piped stream flowing beneath <br />former ntnways to a natural prairie stream system. <br />Bear Creek Trail Crossing, Denver City and County <br />Conducted a wildlife and wetland assessment Eor a <br />proposed trail crossing of Bear Creek in Bear <br />Creek Puk. <br />
