Denise Larson Ecalagisr <br />M.A. 1986, Biology Plani <br />Ecology, University of <br />Colorado at Denver <br />B.A. 1980, Biology, <br />University of Colorado at <br />Boulder <br />Certifimtions and <br />Affiliations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Denise has worked as an ecologist since 1993. She has worked with a variety of <br />federal, slate and local agencies, conducting wetland, vegetation, and threatened <br />and endangered (I'cFE) species surveys. As par[ of the permitting process, <br />Denise has designed numerous wetland tnitigado^ sites and other revegetation <br />sites for government and private land owners. <br />SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE <br />Wetland Investigations. Denise has experience delineating wetlands throughout <br />the Rocky Mountain Region, Great Plains, and Alabama. She has worked with <br />clients on permitting issues completing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />Nationwide Permits and Individual Permits and preparing Colorado <br />Deparmient of "Transportation's `vt'etland Findings. As part of the wetland <br />permitting process, Denise has designed a variety of wetland mitigation sites <br />from prairie potholes in Montana, to riparian wetlands along Colorado's Front <br />Range. Denise also has assisted with the design of a 20-acre mitigation bank. <br /> Threatened and Endangered Species. Denise has conducted numerous surveys <br />Certified Ecologist, 2003, <br />Ecological Society of for threatened and endangered plant species and Forest Services sensitive <br />. <br />America species m the Rocky Mountain Region. She has designed mitigation sites for <br /> impacts to Preble's meadow jumping mouse habitat, which have been approved <br />Member, Colorado <br />Native Plant Society by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />Member, Colrado Weed Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting. Denise has contributed her <br />Network expertise to wetland, vegetation, and T&E assessments for several <br /> Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements in <br />Colorado and Wyoming. <br />Noxious Weed Management Plans. Denise has conducted noxious weed surveys <br />for a wide variety of projects ranging from small bridge crossings to large <br />highway alignments. She uses this surve}' information to prepare noxious weed <br />management plans. <br />Open Lands Planning and Management. Denise bas conducted vegetation and <br />wetland studies fox several municipalities to help acquire and protect parks and <br />open space.
